Recently, the largest manufacturer of mobile devices in the world, Nokia, joined forces on a joint venture with the software giant Microsoft. The outcome was a stylish and perfectly designed mobile device called Nokia Lumia - operated on a Windows Phone Mango software, it promises to be the hit on the phone market this year. But it is not only that which is important to consider. The consequence of this joint product is that the popularity of the Windows Phone software was boosted so much that leading app developers believe that the app market for this software has the potential to be the best one in the years to come for mobile technology.

Reason number one we can even see on the exhibition stands where they show the new Nokia Lumia 800. It is the user interface - absolutely different from anything we have experienced so far in the mobile technology and attracts more attention that we have ever imagined. But the interface also has a hidden contribution to the operations of the phone - it hardly burdens the hardware meaning that it uses less physical memory and processor power to work. Thus more space is left for other programs running on the device thus making the phone absolutely responsive and able to support various applications. The conclusion is simple - with more space to roam around when developing their apps, application developers would be more than happy to make apps for Windows Phone simply because they would better on the platform.

Secondly, it is worth mentioning that the Windows Phone 7 operates on Microsoft software - something so convenient that hardly is there a person who can realize the full potential. Everyone is using PCs in their daily life - accordingly, connecting your phone to your computer would mean a Windows-Windows connection. This would allow you to use advanced software features of your mobile phone and install apps that can either ease the management of your computer for example or allow you for distant connections with your home based system - something that would be crucial for new Windows Phone customers.

Why is it always the case that the best we have invented always ends up in the barrel of gun? I dont just mean a gun in literal sense. I mean it in the sense of arms, why is it that the nuke bomb came before the nuclear power plant, the lazer guided weapons before the lazer eye surgery, the spy camera before the camera itself. We have all the more justifiable reasons as to why we do this. Yes ofcourse, man would put the best of what he knows into protect himself first and then capitalize on it but is it really that essential to put a country in front of another in a perpetually endless arms race that could only lead to disasters that will increase in size and might?
While some bigger nations force other smaller nations to disarm their nukes why dont the bigger one not make them in the first place? Yes and one may say that the axis went against the allies, but who cut of their oil supplies of in the first place? All these unrelated yet relavent chain of events cause people to spend more time defending a truth or lie in order to keep their integrity intact. Why does the exo-skeleton first have to be apart of the improvement on the million dollar marine corps than a break through to help the disabled?
I’ll never surely have all the answers to this but sure hope it raises a question or two when we vote and think about the future of what priorities we put ahead in our lives first.

London is a city that many people can only dream of being a part of.
